Saturday is such a beautiful word...

I HEART Saturday's, but who doesn't?

Sleeping in is such a luxury for me and I don't get to do it very often. Today, sadly, is no exception.
BUT, the great news is I have so much to do today and I am ready to get some things done :) well, after I finish drinking my ritual cup of coffee out of my favorite mug, that is.

a few of the things on my list include:

• Baking banana bread (yum! I'll post my recipe--it is the best)
• Going for a run (while my banana bread is baking -- hello time management!)
• Laundry (I'm running out of clothes to wear, or at least matching clothes)
• Meeting up with a friend for lunch (happiness)
• PROJECT RESTYLE (check the button on my blog side panel) **You will have to check back to see what I am working on**

It is just going to be a great day!! Can't wait for the sun to start shining!

Bow Necklaces!

So, I finally got a few new items up in my etsy shop! I'm so exited about these adorable little necklaces. I discovered felting in a fiber arts class I took in college and fell in love with working with this medium.  I made these little bows using the wet felting process. The wool I used for these two necklaces I actually saved from being thrown away at the end of my fiber arts class! I'm very glad I could recycle and reuse it.

The buttons are both vintage from my grandmothers collection.

I discovered all these buttons in a circa 1950's suitcase when we were helping them move to SC. She has hundreds of old buttons and I'm sure some of them are probably very valuable. I love just shuffling through them and inspecting them all. I have so many ideas running through my head of all the ways they could be used, but for now they will be the centerpieces of my darling bow necklaces.

Crafting Endeavors

I am working on some more new stuff for my etsy shop...I just added a few bobby pins yesterday, but be sure to check back soon and I will be posting some new pictures and links. I will also share some interesting facts about some of the items in my etsy shop that I think are cool!

The wonderful world of blogging...

Hello, I hope you are having a great start to your Monday. I also hope you did not have to rise and shine as early as I did this morning (5:30!!) ughh...


So, I am totally new to blogging! I have to admit, it is a little overwhelming, but I am sure I will get it figured out soon enough!!


A little bit about myself...I live in a beautiful little city and I work in the heart of downtown. I love it! There is so much to do here from bike trails to mountains to lakes. The beach is only a couple hours away too. I pretend I like to run as well and next week I am participating in the Marine Corp Mud Run. I am PSYCHED!!!

Travel!!

I am so excited!! I am traveling to the middle east in just a few short weeks and I just can't wait!! My shopping list is slowly, but surely, getting shorter. One of the things I just bought was a North Face backpack!! I haven't had a real backpack since elementary school! What are some things you pack for trips and just cannot leave home without??
