Goodbye, 2011. Hello 2012.

Not to be negative or anything, but 2011 went by wayyyyyy too fast. Or maybe what I had hoped for in 2011 just didn't come to pass. But you know what? That's OK. Just because it didn't pan out as I had hoped, I did have many, many great experiences. The highlights were opening my etsy shop in February, going to Israel in May, visiting Hilton Head Island for the first time in August, seeing my best friend get married in August as well, and purchasing my wheel in kiln in September. There were so many more things to be thankful about and remember. Below is a little peek into my personal life from 2011.

See you in 2012!

Have a Happy Happy Happy Hanukkah

I have a good friend who is Jewish. He celebrates Hanukkah every year instead of Christmas. He kindly aloud us to celebrate a night of Hanukkah with him this year. It was such a great experience and I have seriously been considering celebrating it myself next year. The meaning of Christmas is so preserved and hasn't been lost in the business of buying and getting. Everything about Hanukkah has a purpose and meaning.

The Menorah all lit up on the seventh night

On a slightly lighter note, here is a great link to a jewish group, The Maccabeats. I love it!

Treasured: Mustard

Just created this new treasury on my etsy site! I love mustard and I'm beginning to accumulate so many mustard colored clothing items. I think forest green goes nicely with mustard yellow. I did buy those pair of evergreen and mustard earrings at the bottom there from Roots and Feathers. I have been following this girls blog religiously because it is so interesting and pretty! She also has great give-aways.

Anyways, I wanted to share this great little collection of adorable things. Enjoy!

Shop Update

I've added a few new jewelry items to my etsy shop. I've been busy making some really cool clay pendant necklaces that I'm super excited about! They all have a leaf motif theme. Some have very colorful glazes and the others are very earthy.
My sister Jenny has also been stitching away with beads, lace, and velvet and has come up with most exquisite bracelets. I'll be posting pictures of those soon as well as in my etsy shop. They are so gorgeous. I'm asking for one for Christmas! I can't wait to share them with you.  Keep checking back because I hope to be adding even more cute accessories.
